Value estimation versus effort mobilization: a general dissociation between ventromedial and dorsomedial prefrontal cortex

Description: Healthy participants (N=22, 11 female, aged between 20 and 39 years) performed an instrumental learning task, a motor performance task (handgrip force) and a cognitive performance task (numerical Stroop). This database includes the maps obtained for the two main group-level contrasts (positive t.test against zero across individuals): value estimation in the learning task (Val) and effort mobilization across learning and performance tasks (conjunction between DT in the learning task and optimal effort E* in the performance tasks). For completeness, the two contrasts included in the conjunction (DT and E*) are also shown in two separate maps.
